About Scripture, scenes, and AI-created media

IEUM brings Scripture, editorial guidance, and imaginative settings together. These are labeled so you can tell them apart.

Scripture and interpretation

Bible quotations belong to the edition identified beside the text. The English reader uses the World English Bible, Protestant edition. The Korean reader uses the Korean Revised Version (Korean Bible Society, 1961). Scene summaries, reflection questions, cross-passage connections, and example prayers are editorial writing. They are not additional verses, personal revelation, or a live response generated from your private journal.

Related verses (cross references)

Related verses in the reader come from OpenBible.info’s cross-reference data, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). Most of it comes from the nineteenth-century Treasury of Scripture Knowledge, and it is ordered by OpenBible.info readers’ votes.

IEUM changed the data: it matched the verse numbers to the translation you are reading, kept up to 40 related verses for each verse in order of votes, left out some pairs (for example, pairs that could read as tying a loss to punishment), and changed the format so it works in the app without an internet connection.

Related verses are a list for reading passages side by side, not an interpretation or a doctrinal judgement. The data is provided as is, without warranty. OpenBible.info is not affiliated with IEUM and does not endorse it.

Artwork, voices, and sound

Some scene artwork was created with AI tools. Locations, interiors, and objects are imaginative interpretations rather than verified historical reconstructions. Some supplied Scripture readings use prerecorded AI-generated voices; they are not recordings of biblical people. Creative acted dialogue is separate from Bible quotations. Available audio languages and credits are identified in the app.

Ambient sound and music create a setting for reading. They are not historical field recordings. The background music in Walking with Jesus was made with Suno, an AI music tool. User-uploaded voice notes are separate from the app’s supplied narration.
